Welcome to 2020 Sound's Stakeholder Blog!

Thank you for your generous contribution to my company, your investment is greatly appreciated! Thanks to your help, I have reached my pre-seed fundraising goal of $15,000; I look forward to presenting upcoming progress and showing you how your investment is being used!

On this website, I will be posting updates regarding the development status of Melodi, Harmoni (to be developed at a future point), and other related products/services. At the time of writing, the most recent, notable events include my invention's patent being issued (a continuation had also been filed), a PCT (international) patent in the works, and Melodi's virtual prototype development.

Melodi's patent, or the "Integrated Melodic Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) Controller within a Laptop Chassis" invention, was approved and issued on April 20, 2021; patent protection will last until June 6, 2039, as the initial filing date is June 6, 2019. Below is the link to the complete publication:

With a continuation patent, this document broadens the claims displayed on the original patent, thereby granting improved IP protections; more giant corporations will have a more difficult time going through litigation. This document was filed on March 19, 2021, and is awaiting review. In addition, a PCT Patent is currently being drafted, and this is expected to be filed within the coming weeks.

Virtual Prototype Development is being carried out by Louisiana New Product Development Team (LA NPDT). A mechanical concept design is currently in the works, as the company will conduct the following services:

"We will create 3D models of the electronic components based on the provided schematic, PCB drawings, and the BOM. We will then develop the product from aesthetical and mechanical standpoints. Next, we will design the mechanisms, the electronics housing, and the fixtures for the components. Finally, we will create a 3D CAD model of the product and compile a bill of materials (BOM). The 3D model will later be used as a foundation for building a prototype."

This stage of development is expected to take 4 - 6 weeks to complete. Afterward, product renderings will be created based on this new design. The company will do the following:

"We will produce [5 - 12] photo-realistic renderings [and a 360-degree animation] for conveying your vision and demonstrating the concept to the potential investors, partners, customers, and other stakeholders."

This stage of development is expected to take 2 - 3 weeks to complete.
