Blog Update #3: 3D Model Development (Final Draft) & Next Steps

Since the last blog update, more tweaks have been applied to the mechanical design of Melodi, stylized renders are in the works, and discussions were held regarding the next steps. My product's design is now final, although subtle revisions may eventually be applied for applicable accommodations.

Attached below are renders portraying the finalized design.

LA NPDT will use this model to create stylized renders that display realistic scenarios of how this device can be used. The ideas shared with the company include the following:

• RGB Showcase: With an RGB gaming-like background, display a view(s) of Melodi with all of its lights on. A rainbow flows through the piano keyboard, and the drum pads showcase its lights in different colors. A proof-of-concept boot-up screen could be displayed on the computer screen.

• Home Studio Environment: On a desk with other basic audio equipment (USB studio microphone, headphones), showcase Melodi turned on with FL Studio 20 running.

• Recording Studio Environment: Surrounded by a large mixer(s), analog gear, and other professional studio equipment, Melodi is at the forefront of all studio equipment, processing vocals in FL Studio 20.

• DJ Computer: A party (either indoors or outdoors) is being thrown at nighttime. Melodi can be clearly seen alongside beginner/intermediate-level DJ equipment running 3rd-party software (e.g., Serato).

• Airplane Showcase: A passenger can be seen using Melodi (running FL Studio 20) while flying in an economical seat; it is placed on the seat's tray, where it takes up most of its space.

• 360-Degree Rotation: A simple video that rotates Melodi 360-degrees on top of a flashy background.
